Match 3 games는 simple principle을 기반으로 합니다. 세 개 이상의 matching elements를 row, column 또는 suitable shape로 모아야 합니다. 보통 player는 neighboring tiles를 swap하고, matched elements가 disappear한 뒤 위에서 new ones가 떨어집니다. 처음에는 luck처럼 보이지만 strong round에는 current combination뿐 아니라 drop 후 무엇이 open될지도 봐야 합니다.
이 tag에는 crystals, fruits, sweets, blocks, colored pieces 및 다른 elements를 사용하는 games가 포함될 수 있습니다. 어떤 levels에서는 points를 collect해야 하고, 다른 것에서는 board를 clear하고, ice를 break하고, items를 down으로 내리거나 limited moves 안에 goal을 complete해야 합니다. Four 또는 five elements의 combinations는 보통 bonuses를 만들며, whole line, area 또는 tile group을 remove할 수 있습니다.
선택할 때는 tile readability, animation speed, goals가 얼마나 clear한지, level balance를 봐야 합니다. Short break에는 complex conditions가 없는 calm levels가 좋습니다. Long play에는 different tasks, chain reactions, boosters, gradual difficulty, 그리고 player가 lucky drop뿐 아니라 prepared move로 이기는 situations가 더 interesting합니다.
